Train station/Bus Station in Sorrento
Arrival of Sita Blue Bus from: Positano, Praiano, Amalfi, Sant’ Agata, Massa Lubrense, Priora
Arrival of Circumvesuviana local train from Naples, Vico Equense, Castellamare di Stabia
Once you arrive at the station, in Piazza de Curtis, you will have in front of you a street, Viale de Curtis, it is a short street which ends on the main street, Corso Italia, and over that street you will have a big square with gardens and plants, Piazza Angelina Lauro. Once you arrive on the main street take the right side (there is Bar Kontatto) and as you see pedestrian crossing, cross street and go straight always on the right side. You will see under a marble colonnade a bank, some shops and the post office, then “L’Agrumeto Garden”, Hotel Capri, a small church, Limone perfume shop arriving in a cross roads (very busy so pay attention when you cross street). Cross the street and proceed always straight for other 10 minutes walking… until you will see Hotel Girasole. Once there, you will see a railway bridge in front of you. Reach it and on your left side after Avis rental car there will be a big gate with flowers with Villa Ida written on the basement. Press button Garden/Villa Ida.
Piazza Tasso/Tasso Square in Sorrento
You are in Tasso square, reach all flags which stand on one side. Looking at the sea, walk on your right side. Pass by Carmine church start to walk always straight on the main street Corso Italia passing by Armani shop, Pollio bar, Swatch shop, Golden point stop reaching a big square Piazza Angelina Lauro. Proceed always straight crossing the square always on the same side. Sorrento harbour/pier
First thing it is important to reach from the harbour the main square Piazza Tasso. You can take the orange local bus, buying ticket in the small Tabacchi shop near bar “Ruccio“. Orange bus leaves every half an hour and once you arrive in the main square you can proceed by walking to reach Villa Ida following information: you are in Tasso square, reach all flags which stand on one side. From the harbour you can also walk to the main square, but street is a little bit up so it is for good walkers. At the harbour near Ristorante la Kambusa, there are small gardens with trees through them you will see a stair, take them and you will have pedestrian crossings in front of you with other stairs to take. Once stairs are finished starts to walk…always straight for 7/8 minutes…then you will see at the end of the long way a big stairs which arrive directly on Tasso square (you will see on the top flags). Once arrived in Tasso square you can take a taxi, or continue to walk to reach Villa Ida, for 10/15 minutes following the indications.
Sant’ Agnello train station:
Once they arrive at train station in Sant’Agnello, go out and you will find in a small area/square called Piazzale Don Minzoni, in front of you there will be a flight of steps, go down it and you will be in Viale Don Minzoni (on the right side there is a little bar), go straight Viale Don Minzoni, which is very short and you will be on the main street Corso Italia, very busy one (on the left side there is the big square Piazza Matteotti). Take right side of Corso Italia and walk for 10/15 minutes, arriving in a square, Piazza Sant’ Agnello with the main church, the Big statue of the Saint Patron and the pharmacy. Take always the same straight direction and you will see in front of you a big railway bridge with written Sorrento, passing under it, just outside it on the right side here is our big gate as on the photo I sent you and on the basement written Villa Ida.
Amalfi Coast by car:
Once you will finish the Amalfi coast street, you will arrive in a cross road: on your left side there is a positano dress shop “Luiselle”, you will have 2 streets in front of you, a fork: take the right side it goes down, Via Meta-Amalfi. Take the right one, driving through the street (for 7/8 minutes) until you arrive to a fork: take the right side with direction to Sorrento. Drive always straight, you will pass by a small soccer stadium, always straight passing by Villa Massa Limoncello factory, proceed until you will be at another crossroad. You will have on your left side a big church. There will be different directions, left side, right side and the one in front of you going down. Take the last one, go straight until you will reach another cross road. It will be a very busy one so pay attention. Take left side, Corso Italia street, a long road, pass by gasoline points, then furniture shops and other small shops, Sant’Agnello main Square, another square with the main church, and the pharmacy. Take always the same straight direction and you will see in front of you a big railway bridge with written Sorrento, passing under it, just outside it on the right side here is our big gate as on the photo I sent you and on the basement written Villa Ida.
