A Great Day in Sorrento

For a unique experience in Sorrento, we decided to take a cooking class at Villa Ida. From the moment you walk into the beautiful grounds of this amazing villa and are met by Roberta and Angela, you are in for a special treat. Not only are you made to feel a part of this wonderful family, but the cooking is spectacular. Our unique menu included fried zucchini flowers, veal piccata, rosemary potatoes and an amazing tiramisu. After our cooking lesson, we were escorted to the wine cellar by Charlie and sampled some very good homemade wines. After our wine tasting, we all ejoyed the fruits of our labors on the georgeous patio. It was a special meal shared with a wonderful family that welcomes you as though you were a long lost relative visiting from America. For anyone looking for a special experience in Sorrento or a unique cooking school, we strongly recommend Villa Ida. An experiene to be remembered and treasuered always.

A VERY SPECIAL PLACE!

We visited Villa Ida in the Spring of 2011. From the moment we arrived at Villa Ida we knew this was a special place. We were greeted by Roberta who quickly became a special friend to all of us. We had a lovely breakfast in the garden before starting our cooking session with Angela, which was SO FUN! We then spent time learning about wine making from Roberta's father and did some tasting. MORE FUN! After the wine lesson we enjoyed our delicioius lunch in the beautiful garden. While there we met several members of the family and they all make you feel so welcome. Our day at Villa Ida was so special and memorable. We talk about this special place often and plan on going back some day. If you or anyone you know is traveling through Sorrento, we highly recommend a visit at Villa Ida and spending the day with Roberta, Angela, and the entire family. You will never forget it!!

Hi Roberta, On our recent trip to Sorrento, I wanted to take my family for a cooking class, we chose Villa Ida since it was close to where we where staying. Our experience exceeded our expectations, From the moment we arrived and was greeted by the family, to the wonderful cooking lessons taught by the best. A visit to the wine cellar to taste " Charlie" wine, a true experience, and finally our beautifully prepared lunch served in the lush gardens. We will never forget our day at Villa Ida, great food, delicious wine, and truley an experience of a lifetime.

I don’t know if you remember me but I was in your cooking class last Tuesday morning (June 26th) with your mother and 6 other people. I just wanted to let you know that it was one of the most incredible experiences I have had and I enjoyed it so very much. You and your mother do an amazing job of making everyone feel so comfortable and welcoming. The freshness of the food and the beautiful dishes you help us create are recipes that I will use again and again. I have been raving about the class to everyone in Positano (where I was staying) and everyone at home. I am sure some of my friends will be coming to a class very soon. Take care and all the best

Hi, Howard and I just wanted to thank you both, and your family for an amazing day yesterday. You were all so kind to us, we felt like part of your family. We both really learned a lot from the cooking class. I'm excited to go home and try my new recipes, and Howard is excited to eat them. Your dad was hilarious, we enjoyed drinking and learning about his wine with him. We ate at Da Vincenza's for dinner tonight, and they gave us extra special treatment when we told them we were sent by you! We will be recommending you to all our friends who travel to the Amalfi Coast. You guys are the best. Thanks again, and it was so nice to meet you all. You have a lovely home and gardens.
